Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara, is looking for a skilled, compassionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team! We are dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care to our furry companions. Our clinic prides itself on offering comprehensive and compassionate services tailored to meet the unique needs of each pet.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience. As a vital member of our clinic, the RVT will work collaboratively with our veterinarians and support staff to ensure the well-being of our patients and the satisfaction of our clients.
Duties will include but are not limited to :
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
- Safely monitoring anesthesia and providing post-op care
- Perform dental COHATS and radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide client education including : preventative care, nutrition and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic
- Handle client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician programRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certificationMinimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic settingProficiency in animal handling and restraintStrong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and a commitment to excellence in patient careFlexibility to work weekendsBenefits :
