The Gorilla Glue Company is looking to hire a brand manager to manage our portfolio of brands in Canada, including Gorilla and O’Keeffe. Our company has a strong track record of growth and is growing in North America and Globally. This role will be in the Greater Toronto area (Milton), where a hybrid work model will be utilized.
The Gorilla Glue company seeks a highly motivated individual who can bring big ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit to the brand manager role. The Brand Manager is responsible for the business plans & strategy management of the Canadian business. This role would partner with the US Brand Teams to implement and modify the US Brand Strategies to drive growth in Canada with the Canadian consumer in mind. Responsibilities include management of existing business across the retail market (Home Center, Hardware, Mass, Food, Drug, etc.), development and execution of brand growth initiatives, driving awareness and equity through advertising initiatives, overseeing the Canadian launch of new products and creating retail growth stories among other activities. This hands-on role will require a great depth and breadth of day-to-day tasks.
Primary Duties
Lead Current Business Activities
- Understand the category landscape, key competitors, retail trends, and POS / internal analytics.
- Set strategy for growth and manage day-to-day risks and opportunities for Canada
- Identify upside opportunities and recommend plans to activate
- Identify risks or areas of weakness in the business and proactively put in place plans to address
- Collaborate with Sales partners to create retail growth stories and assist with customer line reviews
- Integrate brand NPD (New Product Development) into regional plans to deliver wins for the company, retailers, and consumers
Lead Creative and Commercialization Efforts
Partner with the US Brand team to create media objectives and strategies that fit overall brand strategies and reach the Canadian consumerLead Canada-specific creative executions from brief to productions for defined pillars.Recommend and execute support behind brand digital, social, and influencer campaigns.sCollaborate with internal and external agencies / partners to design, develop, and execute commercialization campaigns.Lead Innovation Planning for Canada
Create a detailed vision and go-to-market strategies for defined strategic pillars for Canada.Determine which new products in the pipeline make sense for the Canadian market and ensure that they are positioned for success in the region.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D (Research and Development), Packaging Development, Project Management, etc., to develop products that are impactful for our company, customers, and consumers.Collaborate with Sales & R&D functions to create product sell-in stories for retailers.Core Competencies :

Experience managing commercial innovation in partnership with the sales team to manage pricing strategy, revenue growth, and overall brand growth.National and Channel Retailer Support : Manage, distill, and support retailer and channel-specific growth plans to grow the brand and track results. Leverage retailer relationships to drive P&L improvement deliverables (mix, pricing, etc.)Marketing Mastery : Vast experience developing brand marketing plans (media plans, non-media support, like social, PR, and digital content). Can manage large and complex budgets associated with expansive media plans.Innovation : Can connect brand strategies to innovation plans, including partnering with R&D on innovation master planning.Grows Capability : Can develop marketing mastery in the brand teams – a track record of coaching and training individuals into strong brand marketers.Strategic : Can distill brand priorities into simple frameworks that drive behavior for a broad set of brand stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, and R&D.Analytical / Integrates Knowledge : Can connect data points from diverse sets of information to form a straightforward story that drives actionable insights to move the brands forward.Uses Judgement : Use data and leverage judgment and intuition based on experience to make timely and informed decisions.Qualifications : Education :
BS Required : Major in Business, Marketing preferred.
4-7 years of marketing experience.

Ability to manage multiple projects that vary in nature from strategic through execution.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including abilities to envision, enroll, energize and execute.
Strong collaborator across multiple functions & levels of the organization.
Results-oriented approach with a willingness to bust through barriers and dive in at the detail level as needed.

Strong presentation skills.
Retail experience within food, drug, and mass merchandising distribution channels - personal care category experience a plus.
Nielsen / IRI analysis experience preferred.
Proficient in using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Travel Required : 10-15%
