The Role :
The Maintenance Millwright contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by repairing and installing production equipment. This individual also inspects equipment for proper functioning, performs preventative maintenance duties and diagnoses equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. This skilled position is located at the Delta, BC facility.
This is a full-time position that requires open availability including weekends.
Shifts : Afternoons / Graveyards
Rate of Pay : $
- Night shift premium of $
- Afternoon shift premium of $.80 / hour
- Class 4 Boiler Certificate - $1 / hour premium
- Annual tool allowance of $650
- Uniform allowance of $230 per year

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipmentRepair building systemChangeover production line equipmentUpgrade areas with new equipment / technology, working with outside contractorsInteract daily with computerized maintenance and parts programsPerform all assigned duties in a safe and productive mannerFollow the direction of Maintenance Leadhand, Supervisors and Department ManagersAble to work in a multi-department team environmentKeep work area orderly and cleanQualifications
High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferredMust be a Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or have completed an Industrial Mechanic Millwright ApprenticeshipClass 4 Power Engineer Certificate is an asset (PepsiCo will pay for training courses)Knowledge of machine control systems, safety control system and troubleshooting themWilling to contribute and dedicated to reducing our environmental footprintBottle and Can Line maintenance experience in the food / packaged goods industry is an assetAble to work with machine shop tools and welders in a safe productive settingAbility to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manualsMust be able to lift / carry 50-85 lbs. Must be able to push / pull up to 50 lbs.Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and graspingMust be able to work shifts and overtime as required
