We are looking for an Intermediate Hydrogeologist with a specialization in groundwater modelling to join our Ontario Hydrogeology Team, located in one of our GTA offices (Toronto / Mississauga / Cambridge / St Catharines / Barrie). You will provide numerical modelling support for various hydrogeological, environmental, and engineering investigations related to multi-disciplinary development projects.
What you’ll do here
- Work with interdisciplinary project teams on highly complex projects to challenge and grow your skills.
- Support the development and implementation of numerical groundwater flow models for a wide range of projects, including :
- Large-scale open-pit and underground mining operations
- Regional and local scale hydrogeological assessments
- Municipal source water protection studies
- Dewatering assessments for infrastructure projects
- Compile field and other data for interpretation and analysis.
- Collaborate with intermediate and senior hydrogeologists to provide technical services for mining and infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical support and complete hydrogeological analyses, visualizations, and contribute to conceptual site models.
- Work both independently and in a team setting under the direction of senior specialists.
- Prepare technical documents and reports.
- Assist more senior staff with the development and preparation of project proposals.

What you’ll bring to WSP
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Hydrogeology, Environmental / Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Specialization in groundwater modelling is preferred.5–10 years of experience and registration as a Geoscientist or Engineer in Ontario.Experience with hydrogeological analysis (e.g., AQTESOLV or similar).Experience in the development and application of numerical groundwater modelling tools / approaches.Experience with MODFLOW, FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, etc.Experience using Python and SQL for data analysis.An unrestricted full Class G Driver’s License (Ontario) with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle.Strong computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent time management, organization, communication, problem-solving, writing, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a collaborative team player.Ability to learn new systems and skills independently.Interest in working for a leading environmental consulting firm and contributing to a growing team.About Us
