Responsibilities :
- Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs
- Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements
- Plan and execute requirement analysis, gathering, and documentation
- Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the project
Desired Skills :
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
- Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions
- Experience with a wide range of methods, tools, and techniques for business analysis such as : business functional modelling, business event modelling, business process mapping
- Experience in structured, object oriented and agile methodologies for user requirements and business analysis
- Experience developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation and subsequent follow-up
- Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs
- Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements
- Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the project
Required Skills :
- High level of experience in business gathering, business requirement documentation, agile methodology
- Experience in Azure, and various Microsoft technologies
- Experience in applying re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective Experience in conducting business analysis at varying levels of details, aligning with Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process
- High level of experience in requirement gathering strategies, preparing business cases and cost-benefit analysis, and conducting feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives
- High level of experience in developing processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, mock-ups
- Experience in business modelling; use case modelling; conceptual and logical data modelling; process and data flow modelling;
use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
- Experience in project monitoring, problem solving and reporting
- Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-ups
- Experience conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations, and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement
- Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
Criteria Details :
1 . Requirements Gathering - 30 points :
- experience in planning, executing different methods to collect requirements from all the relevant stake holders (e.g Brainstorming, Focus groups, interviews, etc.)
- experience with different BA tools such as Azure DevOps, Slack, Trello, JIRA, SQL, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Word, or Visio
- experience with requirement prioritization methods such as MOSCOW method.
2 . stakeholder management : 20 points
- Experience with managing communication and collaboration with key stake holders
- Experience handling difficult stake holders
- Experience with change management techniques
- Experience with planning, organizing sessions with key stake holders
3 . System analysis : 10 points
- Experience with analysing existing application to understand its functionality.
- Experience with identifying functional requirements from existing system
- Experience with identifying requirement from existing business workflows
4 . Documentation : 20 points
- Experience with developing Business Analyst artifacts such as Software Requirement Specification, User Stories, Process Flow Diagrams, Decision Matrix, Use Cases
- Experience managing versioning of the documents listed above
- Experience with walking the key stakeholder and supporting project teams through the documents listed above
5 . Leading the business analysis activities for a project : 20 points
- Experience with managing stakeholders meetings
- Experience with presentations and organizing meeting materials
- Experience with creating, executing and monitoring project plans for the business analysis activities
- Experience with coordinating with other business analysis team members on the business analysis activities
- Experience on progress reporting
Deliverables
Deliverables Include :
- Conduct business analysis on HFO (Health Force Ontario) applications
- Conduct requirement analysis, gap analysis and impact analysis
- Conduct system / requirement and technical documentation
- Conduct the risk assessment and document mitigation strategies to support the compliance with Ontario Health security, architecture, and privacy standards
- Conduct business requirements documentation, create functional requirements document, user stories, use case diagrams and specifications, business process documentation and flow diagrams, mock-ups, and prototypes
- Conduct current / new system analysis
- Support current / new system architecture analysis
- Support current / new system design documentation
- Support identifying existing technology and application security risks
- Support the technology analysis to migrate the applications to Ontario Health Azure environments
- Prepare training materials
Must haves :
- 7+ years in requirements gathering
- 7+ years in stakeholder management
- 7+ years in system Analysis (existing and new application)
- 7+ years in Business Analysis documentation development (Use cases, Scope, SRS, BRD, User Stories, Project planning)
- 7+ years in leading the business analysis activities for a project
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent in problem-solving
