Systems Engineering Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Program Technical Lead for Program Development and Obsolescence, you will play a pivotal role in various aspects of system engineering, from requirements management to flight testing.
Key Responsibilities :
- System Architecture : Provide technical support for platform system architecture, design, and development, including system redundancy management, fault management, and crew alerting.
- Requirements Management : Derive and manage system, software, and component-level requirements.
- Integration and Testing : Lead system integration, verification, and validation activities in both lab and flight test environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Obsolescence Management : Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams to assess the impact of component obsolescence and develop mitigation strategies.
- Supplier Management : Evaluate suppliers and manage subcontracts, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Safety Assessment : Conduct safety assessments in accordance with industry standards (e.g., SAE ARP 4761).
- Certification : Work closely with certification authorities (e.g., TCCA, FAA, EASA) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.At least 10 years of experience in systems development, integration, and testing.Proficient in requirements management, system architecture, and integration. Experience with industry standards like DO-178C, DO-254, and SAE ARP4754A.Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML), requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Keywords : Systems Engineer, Aerospace, Defense, System Architecture, Requirements Engineering, Integration, Testing, Certification, DO-178C, DO-254, MBSE
