Evening Shift Foreman – Truck & Transport Service Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Full-Time ( 3pm–12am, Monday to Friday ) About the Role In this position, you’ll take a leadership role overseeing the evening service team — managing workflow, assigning jobs, and ensuring that repair work meets safety and quality standards. You won’t be required to perform hands-on repairs; instead, you’ll focus on supporting technicians, communicating with management, and keeping operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Red Seal and apprentice technicians
- Assign and coordinate work orders based on workload and skill level
- Monitor progress, quality, and efficiency across all repairs
- Provide technical guidance and performance feedback as needed
- Maintain strong communication between technicians, service advisors, and management
- Oversee documentation, workflow tracking, and safety compliance
- Foster a positive and productive team culture Qualifications
- Red Seal Truck & Transport Technician certification (required)
- 3–5 years of experience in heavy truck and trailer repair
- Previous experience as a lead hand, foreman, or supervisor preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage priorities and motivate a team in a fast-paced shop
- Knowledge of repair processes and manufacturer standards
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
