Position Overview :
The Program Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of the disABILITY Services Program. The position provides administrative, coordination, and direct program support to ensure participants and families receive high-quality, timely, and person-centered services. The role works closely with program staff, service providers, and families to support daily operations, documentation, scheduling, and communication within the Autism Program.
Expected Compensation :
Gross salary will be $26.00 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. All payments are subject to the required statutory employee deductions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the coordination and delivery of the disABILITY Services Program activities and services in alignment with the organizational policies and funder requirements.
- Assist with client intake, enrollment, documentation, and maintenance of accurate participant records.
- Serve as a point of contact for families and caregivers, providing program’ information and responding to routine inquiries.
- Support participants’ access to services by coordinating schedules, appointments, and referrals.
- Participate in outreach, engagement, and community education activities as needed to reduce stigma and promote client centered services. Travel required.
- Support the creation of a welcoming, inclusive, and healing environment within the program space.
- Document participant interactions, service linkages, and group activities in accordance with confidentiality and organizational standards.
- Attend regular supervision, training, and team meetings to build skills and ensure alignment with trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice.
- Maintain program databases, case files, attendance records, and outcome tracking.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and program-related documentation as required.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and ethical standards are upheld in accordance with applicable legislation and organizational policies.
Qualifications :
Diploma or degree in social Services, Disability studies, Psychology, or related filed, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to engage with others from a place of empathy, respect, and shared experience, while maintaining healthy boundaries.Fluent English, communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.Comfort working with diverse populations, immigrant, disabled, and other historically marginalized communities.Commitment to the values of equity, healing, and survivor empowerment.Previous experience in a peer support, advocacy, or volunteer role in a social service or community-based organization.Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued.Valid drivers license is a mustThree years of work experience in the health, disability, or autism sector is a benefitUse of Artificial Intelligence in Hiring :
