Responsibilities :

  • Conduct security assessments through code reviews, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
  • Identify potential threats to protect the organization from malicious hackers.
  • Collaborate with platform and development teams to improve and articulate the business value of security investments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on application security to drive security considerations into product design and software development processes.
  • Develop and manage application security testing processes, including automated testing and manual design review processes.
  • Assist teams in reproducing, triaging, and addressing security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop security standards and best practices, both in the form of written documentation and code-based guardrails.
  • Maintain application security tooling and associated process documentation as necessary.
  • Collaborate with app sec team members and broader delivery teams across MBM.
  • Understand both business and security requests and requirements and integrate those needs into the application.
  • Develop robust, reusable, and secure components for reuse.
  • Share ideas and concepts with development teams to improve and extend security.
  • Perform technical code reviews.
  • Ensure unit testing is completed and meets test plan requirements, and integration testing is completed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Experience with security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices / frameworks such as OWASP.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud security, threat modeling and risk assessment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT Security best practices.
  • Understanding of various operating system platforms including Windows, UNIX, etc.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills and ability to function in a globally diverse work environment.
  • Experience working within an agile team and creating continuous integration pipelines.
  • Experience using integrated development environments like Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and associated security measures.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving security threats and technologies.
