1 : 1 Support Worker (Full-Time ECE or ECEA)

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am–5 : 00pm

Start Date : Late June for training, full time starting in July 2025

We’re seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced ECE or ECEA to provide full-time 1 : 1 support for our daughter, at her daycare.

We’re privately hiring a 1 : 1 support worker to attend daycare daily (8 : 30–5) with our sweet, funny 3-year-old daughter who has a G-tube and autism diagnosis. She’s starting daycare (in the Willoughby area) in July and we’re looking for someone warm, patient, and hopefully experienced with diverse needs to support her day-to-day. Note that this has been approved by her daycare centre and there may be potential to be hired directly by the facility in the fall / winter.

We will provide all training and do a week or two of training / handoff in home, prior to heading to the daycare setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Attend daycare daily (8 : 30am–5 : 00pm)
• Provide consistent, compassionate 1 : 1 care and support
• Assist with transitions, activities, toileting, and feeding routines (training provided)
• Work collaboratively with daycare staff, therapists, and family
• Help implement strategies from her care team (e.g., SLP / OT / BCBA)
