Using collaborative nursing practices, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective clinical management of the care team and for providing safe, competent and ethical care to Residents (resident, elder, patient, participant or client).You will work cooperatively and collaboratively with families and all other internal and external customers.
As the Staff Nurse you will provide leadership to the care team.Utilizing nursing process, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills you will provide clinical supervision to the care team, manage staff assignments of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Health Care Aides, and determine when to assign and supervise the performance of Restricted Activities. You will perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Certification :
Registration with CARNA or CRPNA and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-HCP) certification are required
Canadian Nurses Association Certification in Gerontological Nursing or other relevant specialty would be an asset
Experience :
Computer experience is required to access, enter and update information on electronic information system
Experience / certification as a RAI 2.0 Assessor an asset
Two years’ nursing experience is strongly preferred
Knowledge & Competencies :
Knowledge of nursing clinical best practice standards / protocols, nursing practice fundamentals

SALARY RANGE
39.21 - $54.46 per hour as per the UNA Collective Agreement
