Monthly report generation using Excel and SAP. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data.Assist in variance analysis. Prepare preliminary analysis for key financial drivers, to apply critical thinking to identify trends, assess risks, and propose innovative solutions to enhance financial performance.Supports the Manager, Controlling in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior managementIdentify opportunities for efficiency improvements within reporting and financial processes. Support the implementation of process automation tools (Excel macros, Power Automate, etc.).Documents business processes and monitor changes within the ERP System, including Zycus, and SAP to ensure effective procedural outcomes. Assist in developing and optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs).Support financial closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.Support in performing financial data entry into global consolidation and reporting tool. Actively seeks opportunities to streamline and automate data entry processes.Develop and automate financial reporting and analytics processes using advanced Excel functionalities (VBA scripting, macros, complex formulas) as well as Microsoft office suite.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to improve financial processes. Gain exposure to financial decision-making by supporting key projects and initiatives.Assists with the preparation and review of routine and special reporting requests from the CFO.Qualifications and Skills :
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaMinimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and / or related discipline is requiredAppropriate post-university qualifications in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Controlling, Audit or related, preferred.Candidates will be able to show their understanding of general accounting principles and its application to their financial planning and analysis activities. CPA Designation preferred, not required.1 to 3 years of progressive experience in a Financial analysis / reporting, or similar roleAutomotive industry experience with an understanding of Importer functions preferredPreference for candidates with experience in dynamic or fast-paced environments where independent decision-making, problem-solving, and taking initiative are valued.Experience in and IFRS based environment preferred - Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Controlling, Audit or Financial ConsultingStrong SAP knowledge and experience preferredStrong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) is required, advanced Excel skills (VBA scripting, macros, complex formulas) required.Proven ability to work independently while demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset, using critical thinking to approach challenges, seek innovative solutions, and take ownership of projects from start to finish.Demonstrate a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.Organized and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAble to prioritize, structure, and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet challenging deadlinesEagerness to develop and grow into a more strategic finance roleAre you interested in this position?
