Controller

Kelly Services is hiring a  Controller  for our client, a growing organization with operations in Canada and the U.S. This role is ideal for a Cost Accountant / Controller who enjoys working closely with operations, owning the numbers, and contributing to stronger financial processes in a dynamic, growing environment. This is a highly hands-on role with visibility across the business and the opportunity to grow into a broader accounting leadership position over time.

What You’ll Do :

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports (ASPE / GAAP)

Perform detailed cost accounting, variance analysis, and margin analysis

Maintain and analyze inventory, standard costs, and cost allocations

Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital analysis

Assist with cash flow reporting and financial planning

Identify cost drivers and support operational decision-making

Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial accuracy and controls

What We’re Looking For :

3–7 years of hands-on cost accounting or financial management experience

College or University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation required

Experience with ASPE reporting

Strong understanding of inventory, costing, and variance analysis

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required)

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience is an asset

Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working hands-on

Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset

Effective communicator who can partner with operations and leadership
