Our federal government client is requesting a Communications Advisor to support on a project that will involve optimizing hundreds of pages of web content (Canada.ca Content Style Guide).
This content strategy work involves web content optimization, information architecture (IA) placement, curation of redundant, outdated and trivial content (ROT), planning, research and inventory management for the web assets, and related content for Canada.ca.
Tasks :
- Digital communications products targeting the Canadian businesses and specialized audiences such as web content pages, reports, event pages, campaign pages re-written in plain language. The readability level should reflect the targeted audience.
- An up-to-date website inventory that tracks updates and changes that can be used in tandem with existing guidance, analytics and research to support the decision-making process.
- Guidance on aligning new and existing content to the Canada.ca design system, the Guideline on Making Information Technology Usable by All, the Harmonized European Standard (EN 301 549) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Experience and Qualifications :
Bilingual (French & English)Active Federal Secret ClearanceFive (5) years Experience writing plain language and writing for the web.Five (5) years experience making recommendations based on web product inventories, existing guidance, analytics and research.Eight (8) years of experience with writing Canada.ca Content Style GuideFive (5) years of experience using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
