Workshop Facilitator - Online courses

This volunteer opportunity enables you to share your expertise with participants and contribute in extremely high‑impact ways to the growth and development of our clients’ lives. As a volunteer in these transformational programs, you will facilitate online workshops on topics such as Cognitive Distortions, Grief and Bereavement, Entrepreneurship, Conflict Resolution, and other life skills. Often the content for the workshops has been researched, written, and designed as PowerPoint presentations, and our dedicated team is on hand to help you prepare for your sessions and provide background on participants.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive discussions on the topic you will be presenting, based on questions supplied or developed.
• Facilitate online workshops and use the pre‑designed PowerPoint presentations to guide participants.
• Prepare for your sessions with the support of our team and any new subject introductions.
• Co‑ordinate session timing with Ve’ahavta.
• Maintain a time commitment of one to two‑and‑a‑half hours per session, and guest lecture one to three times a year.
• Ensure a supportive learning environment for participants while a staff member provides technical assistance during the workshop.

Requirements

• Be over the age of majority in the province of opportunity.
• Volunteer for a virtual opportunity.
• Commit to the required session length and frequency as outlined above.
