As as Student Food Service Aide, you will :

Hourly Rate :
The current hourly rate for this position is $21.53.
Hours of Work :
You may be scheduled to work a combination of 8-hr and 4-hr shifts ranging from approximately 7 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm, including 2-3 weekends per month. Schedules are prepared based on operational needs of the home; we do not schedule based on your availability or around another work schedule. You must also maintain reasonable availability to pick up extra shifts, over and above the posted schedule, to allow the home to meet operational needs and provide short-notice coverage.
Conditions of Employment
All applicants are expected to comply with the Region of Durham's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies throughout the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within two (2) months from date of hire. Additionally, tuberculosis screening will be required in accordance with the FLTC Act (O.Reg. 246 / 22). Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will also be collected. Finally, compliance with the Mask Fit Testing Program is required and will be coordinated as part of the orientation process.
