What You'll Do :

As a member of our field operations team, you will become an expert at operating our GeologicAI rock scanning robots helping our clients gain new geological insights into their resources.

Working in a client’s on-site core shack or a lab facility, you will work hand-in-hand with client geologists prepping core samples for scanning, running, and maintaining the equipment, and processing scan data in our custom software.

You'll use your technical knowledge and common sense to make sure our clients get the best data possible and will interact with client geologists to help them get the most out of the amazing data you are generating.

Qualifications and Strict Requirements :

• Ability to safely lift and manipulate drill core boxes up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Minimum of 3 years Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is mandatory
• Minimum of 1 years Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Teams is mandatory
• Minimum of 3 years working with components of computers and their functionality is mandatory, including :

o basic understanding of hardware

o efficient file navigation and understanding of file structure,

o keyboard shortcuts

o remote desktop,

o Windows OS, DOS commands, Microsoft PowerShell etc.

o Experience with multi-node processing, network storage, etc.

o Identify USB types, Ethernet / network switches, troubleshooting hardware connectivity.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience using hand and power tools and basic mechanical knowledge is mandatory.
• Introductory experience of at least 1 year with Python is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with geology, particularly experience on drilling exploration programs is mandatory
• Any familiarity with non-destructive testing, core scanning, or imaging devices such as Xray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Hyperspectral Imaging, Magnetic Susceptibility is an asset.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in client-facing communication or customer service.
• Eligibility for Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) certification is preferred.
• Language of Work : English (Required)

o Bilingual, Basic or Intermediate level in either French or Spanish is preferred

Valid Driver’s License is Mandatory

Educational Requirements :

A Three-Year Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Earth sciences, geology, computer science or

engineering is required.

Job Types :

Full-time, permanent position, based on 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, for a 2-week period on, followed by 2 weeks off.

Salary :

$30.00 CAD per hour, with potential incremental increases in excess of 3% annually.

Vacation : Paid out at 4% of earnings on a semi-monthly basis.

Schedule :

• 12-hour shift
• Day shift / Night shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types :

• Bonus pay
• Overtime pay
