The Opportunity

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is recruiting a Summer Student to assist our talented Finance team . As a Student Finance you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various financial processes including data analysis reporting and budgeting. You will also have the chance to work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems learning how they integrate and streamline financial operations within the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a student seeking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting while developing skills essenti al to a successful career in finance and technology.

What your day-to-day will look like :

Generate reports assist with basic analysis and update process documentation as workflows evolve.

Develop and refine training materials provide user support and contribut e to continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in team meetings provide updates on assigned tasks and assist in tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion .

What were looking for in you :

Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Finance Accounting Business or a related field.

Proficien cy in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) is preferred.

Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Additional Information :

Proof of enrollment in a registered post-secondary institution including enrollment in the semester following the work term or enrollment in a registered co-op program will be a condition of hire.
