About the Opportunity

Responsible for the planning, coordination, and project management of assigned projects within the NSHA, participating and supporting functional design planning, specification writing, drawing review, cost estimation, and tender document coordination. This includes overseeing design consultants and contractors and interfacing with stakeholders and clinicians to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to project milestone dates and, most importantly, meeting the objectives of the project.  The BIAM Project Manager may be required to act as interim Manager, Project Management to ensure continuity of service during annual leave.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Registered Engineer (in N.S.) in a relevant Engineering discipline having 3 years project management experience; or Project Manager with 5 years of experience in a Building Infrastructure or Health Care Environment.
  • Experience in building design, contract, construction and project management.
  • Experience managing a wide range of complex projects and stakeholder teams, committees, etc.
  • Budgeting and project estimating skills.
  • Proven record of success working with staff, contractors, consultants, designers and clients.
  • Proven ability to apply quality management principles and processes.
  • Ability to apply risk assessment and management principles and processes.
  • Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional Certification considered an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

    40.27 - $50.34 Hourly
