We are currently seeking qualified Physiotherapist Assistants in the following areas Port Perry and Uxbridge
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in the community
- Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. ultrasound, TENS)
- Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial home exercise programs
- Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client's status or treatment interventions
- Record visits and treatments using CARs web-based system
Requirements :
Graduate of a recognized OTA / PTA program (required)Use of a vehicle(required)Experience in working within a community setting is preferred, but will consider general PTA experience as wellAbility to work independently and as part of an inter-professional teamOutstanding focus on safety and ethical standardsStrong ability to build rapport with clientsAbility to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlinesExcellent oral communication and written skillsProficiency with computersStrong interpersonal and organizational skills
