Overview
The Process Coach is a floor‑level leader who partners with Operations, Maintenance and Quality to ensure the line runs safely, smoothly and to specification. This role delivers hands‑on coaching, first‑responder support for arising events, and daily process confirmation to protect throughput, first‑pass yield and cost targets. The Process Coach drives and coaches Kaizen problem solving at the lowest practical level, builds Team Leader and Operator capability, and administers basic supervisory duties within a unionized production environment. Shift flexibility (including rotating shifts and weekends) is required.
Responsibilities
- Coach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized work.
- Optimize production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectives.
- Monitor ANDON occurrences and serve as the initial responder for secondary support.
- Verify the production line’s safe and smooth operation, and its output of quality parts, through Process Confirmation.
- Support Kaizen initiatives and coach problem resolution at the lowest possible level.
- Meet targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses.
- Build the capability of both Team Leaders and Team Members.
- Create a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Ensure effective communication and recognition within the team.
- Perform basic administration of supervisory duties and documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent (CAEC).2+ years’ experience working in Production lines.1+ years’ experience working with and supervising a unionized workforce and understanding of CBA (collective bargaining agreement).Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Availability to work in shifts (morning / afternoon / evening) as required.Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree.Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining preferred.Safety and Quality experience preferred.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience.Helium leak stand experience.Adept problem‑solving and conflict management skills.Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.The expected annual salary range for this position is $74,000 - $124,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
