Your Opportunity
- Our Winnipeg office is looking for a Bilingual Manager / Senior Manager to join the Assurance team. If you are currently located in Canada and interested in relocating to Winnipeg, BDO may offer financial assistance. The selected candidate will be required to fulfill the following responsibilities :
- Efficiently prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in various industries.
- Perform audits, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards.
- Build positive relationships with clients and respond effectively to requests and suggestions.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with existing clients, starting to grow their own practice and manage higher volumes of work.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress and issues.
- Engage in staff training and invest in professional development, taking a more active leadership role within the office.
- Review assurance and non-assurance engagements for private, non-profit, and public sector entities to ensure compliance with standards and firm policies.
- Manage audit and review assignments under ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS.
- Plan, supervise, and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements.
- Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities on an ongoing basis.
- Address client issues promptly, using strong technical skills and accounting experience.
- Apply industry / business knowledge to anticipate and address relevant issues.
- Collaborate and think creatively to provide tailored solutions.
- Assist clients with analyzing and applying accounting standards, drafting reports and presentations.
- Help in preparing financial statements, working papers, and liaising with auditors, including transitioning between accounting frameworks.
- Stay current on evolving standards, securities, and regulatory requirements.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English (written and oral).

Extensive experience with ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS files.2-4+ years in a management role.CPA designation required.Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.Leadership qualities and focus on employee engagement.Excellent communication skills in both French and English.Why BDO?
