5‑day work week, rotating shift – 12 hours / day. Occasional overtime on evenings and weekends may be required.

Compensation
CAD hourly rate : $38.60 + benefits. With 3rd class Power Engineering ticket : $40.82 + benefits.
About the Position
This job requires mechanical ability to perform general plant operator duties, including tank truck and railcar vessel opening, loading, and unloading, operation of pumps, piping, valves, and plant upkeep and maintenance. Climbing stairs and ladders and lifting within OSHA guidelines is required. The work environment includes outside elements with radiant heat or cold and rotating shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (required) or in progress.
- Relevant experience in a plant environment performing similar duties is preferred.
- Ability to use computer effectively – Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, email, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer’s literature, diagrams or schematics.
Responsibilities
Perform operations such as truck loading / unloading, railcar loading / unloading, connecting / disconnecting hoses, operating valves, troubleshooting equipment, and operating plant equipment as needed.Replace nuts and bolts on pipe flanges ranging from 1" to 48" diameter.Operate mobile equipment : front‑end loader, track mobile, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.Clean, sweep, manage tool room and warehouse inventory, remove trash, dig, weed, shovel, provide fire watch, and attend confined space holes as required.Operate in 100‑degree ambient temperatures while wearing protective personal equipment (PVC suit, boots, gloves, face shield, respirator).Work scheduled rotating 12‑hour shifts with intermittent 14‑16 hour days for emergency operations / repairs.Maintain weekly timesheets accurately.Follow all plant rules and regulations, including punctuality and absenteeism.Comply with plant safety rules, use PPE, maintain PPE documentation, and follow safety guidelines for confined spaces, hot work, high work, management of change, operating procedures.Physical Conditions
Strong physical strength, hand‑eye coordination, and endurance.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.Climb multi‑level stairs / ladders as required.Wear site‑designated PPE at all times (hats, steel‑toe boots, safety specs, coveralls, PVC suits, hearing protection).Close vision required.Occasional long hours sitting in an office environment.Must be fit for all duties.Work Environment
