Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Procurement Lead to join a dynamic organization based in West Vancouver, BC.
The Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. This role requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in sourcing, cost optimization, and contract management to achieve organizational objectives efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Procurement Strategy :
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier consolidation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and legal requirements.
- Vendor and Supplier Management :
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Process Management :
- Oversee purchase order processing to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Address supplier issues to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain robust procure-to-pay (P2P) systems.
- Cost Optimization :
- Implement and monitor cost-saving strategies.
- Analyze pricing trends and manage supplier performance evaluations.
- Contract Management :
- Develop and administer supplier contracts, including service-level agreements and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain management are an asset.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor evaluation techniques.Proficient in negotiation and communication, with the ability to foster strong relationships.Experience with procurement software and ERP systems.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions.High integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to ethical practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
