Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Elmira, ON, for a Kumon Assistant. Responsibilities include supporting instructors to ensure the smooth operation of the center, grading assignments, preparing materials for students, and assisting with teaching math and reading concepts. The Kumon Assistant will engage with students to provide encouragement, oversee their progress, and ensure each child is accurately following their individualized learning plan. Additional duties will involve administrative support, maintaining an organized environment, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong math and reading proficiency with the ability to assist students with foundational concepts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective student and parent interactions
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain an organized and efficient learning environment
• Patience, enthusiasm for working with children, and a genuine commitment to education
• Prior experience in a teaching or tutoring role is an asset
• Ability to work on-site in Elmira, ON on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-7
