Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant for a 6-month project with potential to be hired full-time.

About the Opportunity

1. Forensic Execution & "Line in the Sand" (First 14 Days)

• Opening Balance Validation :  Execute the detailed testing and reconciliation of the inherited FY26 Trial Balance. Document every discrepancy or "sloppy" historical entry to support the CFO's risk report to the Board.

Recap Audit Support :  Verify the technical accuracy of the recapitalization entries in the General Ledger to ensure the FY26 starting position is bulletproof.

Data Scrub :  Perform a forensic "sanity check" on high-exposure accounts (Accruals, Prepaids, Intercompany) to identify hidden liabilities or technical debt. 2. Operational Reset & R2R Excellence

Full-Cycle Accounting :  Own the daily transactional integrity of the R2R cycle. In partnership with the existing team, ensure every expense, accrual, and adjustment is recorded with institutional-grade precision.

Working Paper Standardization :   Transition all manual reconciliations into a standardized, audit-ready format within FloQast. Ensure every entry is supported by contemporaneous working papers.

Team Integration :   Work seamlessly with the 2.5 FTE accounting staff to clear the reconciliation backlog and enforce new "zero-defect" documentation standards. 3. Structural Rationalization & Integration

Entity & Bank Execution :  Act as the primary executor for the closure of redundant bank accounts and the consolidation of legal entities. Manage the migration of balances and update system mappings in Sage Intacct.

Process Automation :  Partner with the Systems Manager to replace manual "Excel patches" with automated workflows, specifically targeting bank matching and intercompany eliminations.

SOP Development :  Document every core R2R workflow you execute. Your work will form the "Standard Operating Procedure" (SOP) library for the permanent Finance team.

About You

CPA designated with audit experience

7+ years of experience with heavy emphasis on multi-entity SaaS environment

Strong audit experience ideally from Big 4

Sage Intacct

Hands-on, well-organized, works well independently

Pay Rate : $45.00 / Hour
