Job Description

MLSE is seeking a highly motivated Data Developer to join the Digital Labs this role you will be responsible for designing developing and implementing data solutions to support our data-driven decision making. You will be a key player in building and maintaining our data infrastructure ensuring the flow of accurate and reliable data for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities :

Lakehouse :

Develop and maintain data sets using dbt transforming raw data into clean consistent and usable formats.

Utilize MS SQL PostgreSQL S3 Data Lake Athena and Redshift to build and optimize data pipelines.

Design and implement data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and consistency.

Power BI Reporting :

Design and develop interactive Power BI reports dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex data insights effectively.

Translate business requirements into clear concise and actionable reports.

Implement advanced features like calculated columns measures and DAX formulas.

Database Administration :

Manage and maintain SQL Server instances in an AWS cloud environment and on premise.

Perform routine backups restores and performance optimizations.

Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.

Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server issues efficiently.

Additional Responsibilities :

Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Document data pipelines reports and processes clearly and concisely.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the data analytics space.

Qualifications :

Proven experience developing and maintaining data pipelines (dbt Python scripting)

Experience working within an orchestration tool (Airflow Dagster Prefect)

Strong proficiency in SQL (MS SQL PostgreSQL Redshift Athena)

Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards

Understanding of data warehousing and cloud platforms (AWS)

Experience with data modeling and data quality practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Problem-solving and analytical skills
