Working closely with other members of the maintenance and engineering teams, the Fabricator will play an integral role in the repair and fabrication of machinery components, ensuring the plant and associated equipment & systems are in safe, working order on an ongoing basis.

What are the Responsibilities?
- Mobile equipment / machine maintenance performing upgrades to enhance functionality, fabricating parts or tools as necessary
- Conducting repairs both in the field and within the workshop
- Operating heavy machinery (100 tonne press brake, 1 / 2 inch shear, radial arm drill press)
- Effectively utilizing oxy / acetylene burning table and a variety of arc / plasma welders and cutters
- Supporting other trades and areas of maintenance as required
What are the Requirements?
- Fabricator trade qualification BC Journeyman or Red Seal
- Welding ticket would be a bonus!
- At least 5 years’ of relevant fabricating & machine maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience working with aluminum and cast iron highly desirable
- Commitment to high quality welding and fabrication
- Must be willing and able to partake in creating and fostering strong safety culture
- Strong communication skills, must be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
