An industry-leading organization is seeking a Sales Director to drive national Key Account growth and lead a team of high-performing account managers.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven sales leader to shape the company’s presence among major franchise groups, multi-unit restaurant brands, quick-service and casual dining chains, and large-scale institutional foodservice operators.

As the successful candidate will drive growth at the national level while leading, coaching, and developing a team of key Account Managers overseeing Ontario, Quebec, and Western Canada.

If you’re passionate about building high-performing teams, developing executive-level partnerships, and driving expansion into multi-location foodservice networks, this role offers the platform to make a significant impact.

Position Description

This role focuses exclusively on Key Accounts — building deep relationships with national restaurant chains, large franchise groups, institutional caterers, and other high-volume operators.

Unlike territory-based or independent accounts, this position is about strategic growth and large-scale rollouts — influencing C-suite decisions and shaping the operational future of Canada’s top foodservice brands.

Strategic Leadership

  • Design and execute a national sales strategy targeting multi-unit restaurant and foodservice organizations.
  • Expand market share by strengthening partnerships with franchise and institutional operators.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable growth plans for your Key Account Managers.
  • Ensure disciplined use of CRM tools for accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and account planning.
  • Lead & Inspire

  • Mentor and develop a small and experienced team of Key Account Managers across Canada.
  • Drive performance through account reviews, quarterly reviews, and KPI-driven coaching.
  • Build a collaborative, solution-focused sales culture that thrives on results.
  • Accelerate National Rollouts
  • Forge executive-level relationships with senior decision-makers at multi-unit foodservice organizations.
  • Support franchise openings, product rollouts, and operator training across national networks.
  • Collaborate with culinary consultants, distributors, and other partners to ensure seamless large-scale implementations.
  • Cross-Functional Impact

  • Partner with marketing to tailor campaigns for franchise and chain operators.
  • Work closely with culinary teams to deliver product demos, operator training, and menu development support.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and global leadership to build ROI-focused proposals and harmonize Canadian strategies with international objectives.
  • What Success Looks Like

  • Accelerated revenue growth and market share expansion across national Key Accounts.
  • Increased penetration of the company’s solutions across franchise and chain networks.
  • Accurate forecasting and a strong handle on the national pipeline.
  • Strengthened retention and growth of long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, ideally within multi-unit foodservice, franchising, or institutional catering.
  • Proven success in building and executing national Key Account strategies.
  • 3+ years leading high-performing account management or regional sales teams.
  • Expertise in franchise operations, institutional foodservice, or multi-location account management.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (SAP preferred) and a data-driven leadership style.
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset — equally comfortable shaping strategy and engaging directly with customers.
  • Qualifications

  • A strategic builder who thrives on scaling Key Accounts nationally.
  • A coach and mentor who inspires their team to become trusted advisors.
  • A persuasive leader with the executive presence to engage confidently with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating within a structured, process-driven organization while tailoring strategies for the Canadian market.
  • Based in or near Mississauga, with flexibility to travel extensively.
