Job description

About the Opportunity

Expression of interest for tuition sponsorship to complete a Medical Radiological Technology program at an accredited university / college by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). A list of accredited schools can be found here :

Program leaders will work with successful candidates to offer clinical placement at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Tuition sponsorship will include up to $15, per year, with potential for additional funds.

This is an educational opportunity that is available to students interested in working within Eastern Zone who are accepted into an accredited Radiological Technologist program due to begin in the next fifteen months. After successful completion of the program, candidates' will be considered for vacancies within the Diagnostic Imaging program within the Eastern Zone :

  • Buchanan Memorial Hospital
  • Cape Breton Regional Hospital
  • Eastern Memorial Hospital
  • Glace Bay Health Centre
  • Guysborough Memorial Hospital
  • Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital
  • New Waterford Consolidated Hospital
  • Northside General Hospital
  • Sacred Heart Hospital
  • St. Marthas Regional Hospital
  • Victoria County Memorial Hospital

Successful candidates will agree to complete the program and sign a defined Return of Service agreement.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Following completion of the Radiological Technology program, successful candidates will be paid at the following rate when working in the classification :

    Radiological Technologist :

    30.83 - $37.54 hourly
