PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

With minimal supervision, Specialists are responsible to analyze complex situations, demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking techniques to validate understanding of existing infrastructure technology solutions and / or test and validate new solution designs. Maintains a strong understanding of Camera related technology, including the Avigilon software toolset. and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) procedures.

As a Specialist Camera Solutions for Avigilon and Genetec camera and video solutions, you will be a core member of the Camera Support team who will work with our business partners to deliver business values in the area of camera hardware provisioning, camera software, camera server maintenance and general camera Incident support, through projects and application sustainment activities.

In this role, the employee is responsible for supporting all CPKC Camera hardware, network video recorders (NVR) and associated software. In addition to this, they will be actively engaged in the project delivery on the core module and new technologies and upgrades.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Recommend and deliver on upgrades, configuration improvements, design changes and process improvements.
  • Responsible for support of business or system solutions in compliance with CPKC's incident and problem management processes; and determined Service Level Agreements (SLA);
  • In area of expertise, drive analysis to diagnose, isolate and debug software or infrastructure problems and perform problem resolutions;
  • Ability to lead change and adopt to technology advancements - (i.e. support legacy technology while transitioning into modern technology)
  • Provide subject matter expertise to build Project estimates and complete assigned tasks for Project deliverables.
  • Ensures that tasks and deliverables for supported programs meet expected levels of quality and are completed on time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • 4-6 years of converged infrastructure experience with specialization in one of the three base technologies (Compute, Storage or Networking)
  • 4-6 years of experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management foundations of ITIL.
  • 2-4 years of cameras and surveillance / security systems support experience.
