The Role : Painter Prep 1
The Painter Prep 1 is an entry level, learn on the job position responsible for preparing paint materials, blending, cleaning & preparing various surfaces; spraying application while also maintaining the spray guns.
Key Responsibilities
[Prep aluminum, gelcoat, epoxy primers for topcoat and primer applicationSpray application with a HVLP gravity gunClean and maintain spray guns and other tools, work area, and materialsMaintain inventory of all paint materialsSanding and finishing epoxy and polyester fillersWork in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable recordsWhat You Bring
High school education or GED equivalentAbility to do powder coat is considered an assetMarine experience preferredBodywork and equipment maintenance experience requiredFiberglass and carbon fiber experience is considered an asset0-4 years’ experience in spray application with primer and topcoatGood interpersonal skills such as verbal / written communication and listeningKnowledge of epoxy primers, topcoat, paint materials and paint preparationPositive attitude and a team playerStrong attention to detailThank you for considering a career with AdvanTec Marine .
