Field Service Technician- Mixed Flame and Gas Tech

Location : Burlington

Salary : $58240.00 to $62400.00

A is full-service provider of process and safety equipment to industries across eastern Canada. They are a distributor of the MSA line of fixed gas and flame detection equipment for the industrial and municipal markets. The successful candidate must have a good aptitude for the operation and repair of electronic devices, reasonable proficiency in the use of a personal computer, at least for data entry and the use of diagnostic devices. Main Responsibilities

Perform installation of new equipment and commission systems

Perform diagnostics tests and calibration of installed equipment

Perform repairs of equipment and specify replacement parts

Maintain service records on customer’s equipment and issue reports and calibration certificates

Skills and Knowledge

Must have a good aptitude for the operation and repair of electronic devices.Reasonable proficiency in the use of a personal computer, at least for data entry and the use of diagnostic devices.Ability to withstand, on occasion, difficult conditions (heat, dust, noise)Must have a valid driver’s license

Education / Experience

Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent

Several years’ experience working in a mechanical / industrial service activity would be desirable.

A certificate from a technical college in instrumentation or electronics could be a substitute for work experience.
