Job descriptionLives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day Receive, review, verify, and process invoices accurately and timely Troubleshoot complex or escalated issues related to invoices or payments Resolve discrepancies between invoices, POs, and receipts Prepare, prioritize and process weekly, biweekly, or ad hoc payment runs (checks, EFT, ACH, wire transfers) Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and assist in implementing new systems Manage vendor relationships - set up and maintain details in ERP adhering to internal security processes, develop strong relationships and respond professionally to inquiries Exercise professionalism and discretion when processing confidential or sensitive materials Obtain a deep understanding of Forbes expense coding to identify transactional errors Assist in regulatory audits and annual audit process Other accounts payable related functions assigned Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, is required Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of related accounting experience is required handling a high volume of complex invoices, is required Knowledge of accounting principles and computerized accounting systems Experience in the Construction industry is an asset Experience or exposure working with foreign currencies, an asset Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, IF Functions) Knowledge of Viewpoint / Trimble systems, an asset Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong time management and organizational skills Able and willing to work extended hours of work as required to meet various deadlines as needed
