Join our dynamic team as a CTF Coach, where you'll be instrumental in developing cybersecurity talent and enhancing our competitive performance. This role focuses on guiding participants through challenging scenarios and fostering a strong learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Practice Facilitation : Create and lead regular team training sessions, workshops, and practice scenarios, often utilizing virtual labs or specialized platforms (e.g., Cyber Ranges) using tools like Proxmox, Python, Docker and CTFd.
- Challenge Development : Design, develop, and implement custom CTF challenges, including Jeopardy-style puzzles (cryptography, web exploitation, forensics) or Attack-Defense scenarios.
- Strategic Planning : Develop training plans, select competitions for participation, and set goals for team performance.
- Administration & Logistics : Manage scheduling, coordinate team members, maintain communication on platforms (Discord, Teams), and ensure other teams are consulted if required.
Requirements & Qualifications :
Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of cybersecurity domains, including cryptography, web security, reverse engineering, binary exploitation, and forensics.Practical Experience : Familiarity with CTF platforms (e.g., Hack The Box, TryHackMe, CTFtime) and tools (e.g., Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite).Mentorship / Coaching : Ability to foster a positive, inclusive team environment and guide students / participants in skill development.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication to explain complex security concepts and provide feedback.Background : Typically requires a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in the field.
