LAUNDRY WORKER

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Laundry Worker to fill a Casual position at the Fort St. John Hospital.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Regional Northern Health (NH) Policies and Processes, the Laundry Worker II performs a variety of duties for Laundry Services such as operating and loading / unloading designated equipment, and collecting, weighing, sorting, HTML worksheets, preparing linens in accordance with established standards and required operational procedures. This position may also provide supervision to designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments and determining related training and orientation requirements.

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year. Some more highlights about the hospital :

• Endoscopy suite, 2 state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms, plus a procedure room

There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one secondary school. There is also a Northern Lights College campus.
