Mental Health & Addictions services in Amherst is seeking a part-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist . In addition this position has the possibility to participate in the Transitioning into Practice - Transitioning Out of Practice (TIP-TOP) Program. The TIP-TOP program helps physicians transition in and out of practice by allowing an overlap of up to two-years between retiring doctors and those starting ensuring continuity of care for patients and a smooth transition process for both physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and coordination of community-based care and secondary and tertiary level health care.
• Provide direct clinical outpatient care
• Provide emergency medicine services in conjunction with our crisis team
• Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
• Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
