Senior DevOps Engineer

MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our technology / cloud-native software client to find a first-class Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario (onsite) . The primary responsibility of this role will be to design, build, and optimize a scalable, secure, cloud-native DevOps and CI / CD infrastructure supporting next-generation, Kubernetes-based platforms.

Some of what you will do in this role includes :

• Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines for multi-repository environments using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and related tools
• Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and Helm-based applications across development, staging, and production environments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and / or Ansible
• Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
• Manage containerization workflows, including optimized Docker image builds, registry security, and automated image scanning
• Implement GitOps deployment strategies using ArgoCD
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and / or Loki
• Lead database migration automation and ensure schema versioning consistency
• Integrate security testing (code, container, and dependency scanning) into CI / CD pipelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify gaps, propose improvements, and implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and security

Pay band - $80,000-$100,000
