Job Description
As part of Vention's Procurement team, you will be operating a global procurement network made of hundreds of suppliers and 2,000+ SKUs. You will be responsible of executing tactical, strategic and development activities to promote a competitive advantage for Vention and support customer driven needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the execution of the overall purchasing process from preparation and
execution of tenders to order fulfillment including screening of purchasing requisitions and
issuance of purchase orders.
Develop, issue and analyze comprehensive RFxManage PO’s and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.Ensure effective engagement, collaboration and cooperation with internal clients andsuppliers
Identify and evaluate areas of opportunity for cost reductionPerform Total Cost of Ownership evaluations and supply-market research.Engage with key partners to establish deep supplier relationships.Understand competitive landscape and market trends to identify business opportunities.Lead vendor, contract and parts negotiationsExecute sourcing strategies and procurement plans to support Vention’s corporate andinternal client’s strategies and objectives.
Work collaboratively with internal clients, functional SME’s and suppliers to definerequirements, timing and scope
Qualifications
You have a degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineeringYou bring 3+ years’ experience in a global procurement position;You have excellent communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary team;You have firm understanding of procurement process and corporate governanceprinciples;You have Excellent organizational skills and pay close attention to details. Your work is always up to date.You have a strong ability to build and maintain relationships, internally and externally.You have a passion for negotiations. Ability to develop fact-based recommendations to internal stakeholders.You showed the ability to work in a fast-paced (next day deliveries) and high volume (parcel shipments) with energy and enthusiasm;Business savvy with excellent problem-solving techniques and methods to understand cost breakdowns and associated cost drivers of manufacturing processes.You have an interest in engineering topics and are curious to learn more.Previous Experience in a manufacturing environment is an assetAPICS or SCMP certification is an assetAdditional Information
