Position : Territory Sales Representative

Position Status : Permanent Full-Time

Location : Candidate must reside in Ontario

Available : Immediately

We’re seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Territory Sales Representative to join the PureBites® Team.

Pure Treats is a leader in natural dog & cat treats and food, and has been offering pet-parents pure, natural and nutrient rich options since 2005. PureBites® and PureSnacks® branded products are available through leading North American pet specialty stores as well as in retailers such as Petco & PetSmart, Walmart, and online at Amazon & Chewy. Pure Treats is a fast-growing CPG company that has been leading the market in its categories for over 15 years.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Grow top line sales through :

o   Building relationships with independent pet stores in Eastern Canada and USA.

o   Collaborating with distributor representatives through ride-alongs and brand training sessions.

o   Ensuring proper product placement and brand awareness be engaging store owners and their team.

  • Represent the brand at events by :
  • o   Representing PureBites® and participating at trade shows and industry events with distributors and retailers.

    o   Working closely with distributor and retailer teams to drive brand awareness.

  • Perform regular store visits to represent the brand. This includes :
  • o   Create and maintain a store visit route to support key stores on a consistent schedule.

    o   Engage with local and out-of-town pet stores on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

    o   Collaborate with distributors sales representatives to drive growth.

    o   Work with multiple internal departments to execute.

    o   Present and sell in new products & promotions.

    o   Relationship building & customer satisfaction.

    The successful candidate will be expected to :

    o   Travel locally and non-locally to pet stores.

    o   Dedicate one day per week to office administration and other non-store activities.

    Desired Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills :

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a demonstrated talent for resolving complex issues with minimal supervision .
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed and achieve sales targets.
  • Confident, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with a demonstrated initiative and proactive mindset.
  • Strong business acumen and active listening skills, with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Additional Preferred Experience :

  • Applicants with retail or restaurant experience are encouraged to apply, as these skills are highly transferable.
  • Working in a related field such as consumer packaged goods or operations / distribution.
  • Making sales calls in the pet specialty industry, with distributors, and in-store.
  • Managing regulated products such as food or pharmaceuticals.
  • Transparency About Travel and Expenses

    Please note that this role requires up to 80% travel with 4-5 overnight travel per month. Business and travel expenses are paid at the end of each month. Employees are responsible for covering expenses using their personal credit card, which will be reimbursed promptly at the month's end.
