The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for the design and field review of buildings, underground infrastructure, and bridge structures, temporary works required for their construction, providing site support during construction, and working directly with the contractor. Experience with shoring engineering on transportation related projects is considered an asset.

What will you do?
- Design of complex shoring and underpinning structures
- Design of jacking, falsework, shoring and roadway protection etc.
- Provide immediate engineering support to contractors in the field
- Review of work on construction sites is required
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred8+ years of relevant experience, with a professional engineering designationProfessional Engineer licensed to practice in the province of Ontario (PEO)Professional Engineer licensed to practice in the province of Quebec (OIQ) is preferredExperience in design of temporary structures and construction engineeringFamiliar with cut-and-cover structures, temporary shoring, utility relocation, construction stagging analysisFamiliarity with MTO proceduresExperience in bridge design and / or construction engineering for bridgesExperience on site and working with contractors preferredDemonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principlesAble to communicate ideas and recommendations in a clear manner, listen effectively and adopt and integrate ideas from other team members, including clients and contractorsAbility to manage and deliver multiple projects on timeAbility to work on both small and large projects of varying durationsAbility to explain designs and to work with others to develop the optimal design for the available resourcesBenefits
