What is the opportunity :

Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure, IT, the IT Support Analyst assists with maintaining the end user facing environment for Energy Safety Canada. This position is responsible for in-person and remote IT support for Energy Safety Canada’s staff.

What will you do :

  • Provide front line support for staff at Energy Safety Canada to resolve issues and questions related to end user hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Responsible for the management of all end user computing devices including patching, firmware updates, and remote management
  • Responsible for user account management including but not limited to : onboarding, permissions, changes, terminations, offboarding
  • Managing incidents and requests in ITSM system including documenting knowledge base articles for end users and IT technical staff
  • Supporting classroom and meeting room A / V systems including web conferencing solutions
  • Other duties as required

What you need to succeed :

  • Post-Secondary Education related to IT or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of related work experience
  • Certifications related to ITIL or similar would be a strong asset
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a focus on customer service
  • Working knowledge of Windows 11
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint Online and Teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Office 365 administration would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of system management and mobile device management systems
  • Working knowledge of mobile devices especially Apple iOS
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Experience with secure printing solutions an asset
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow (incident, change, knowledge, config)
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently
