DESCRIPTION

The main responsibilities of the Product Design Support and Yield Improvement Professional are to provide insight related to maintaining, developing, understanding, and improving the overall performance and reliability of new products and manufacturing flows supported and developed by Teledyne-MEMS. This person will work in close collaboration with process and product development teams located across multiple locations to optimize and further develop understanding of product performance and their underlying process interactions.

The chosen person will collaborate with the Teledyne-MEMS teams in the following areas:

• Elaborate design-rules to provide to customers for product design into our manufacturing platforms.

• Develop design-rule verification scripts (DRC) and validate customer design manufacturability.

• Validate design fabrication via process emulation, TCAD simulations and 3D modeling.

• Develop finite element models for sensor product design functionality and communicate results internally and with clients.

• Work with development and manufacturing teams to understand and improve the most critical parameters to performance of sensor products.

• Participate in improving device yield and reliability.

• Analyze customer product test and reliability results.

• Monitor, document and communicate performance results. Initiate corrective and preventive actions required for products that do not meet the objective set.

• Maintain flow of existing products following our Quality Management System (QMS).

• Manage the introduction of new products by following our QMS process.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Hold a university degree in engineering or science in the field of microelectronics, electrical eng., physics or micro-fabrication.

• 2-3 years experience in semiconductor and MEMS fabrication.

• 2-3 years experience in semiconductor design and product support would be an asset.

• 2-3 years experience in various design tools (Physical layout, FEA, TCAD, etc…)

• Be respectful, responsive, good communicator.

• Experience providing strong input within a development team.

• Experience in positions requiring interactions with clients.

• Experience in a UNIX/LINUX environment is an asset.

• Being a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an asset.
