Job Description

As an Electrician, you will perform standard electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment, either independently or under the supervision of the Facility Manager. You will participate in maintenance team meetings and operate the Maintenance Request System as required. Your role will involve carrying out electrical repairs and installations, troubleshooting and diagnosing repair problems, and performing minor mechanical repairs and installations. You will ensure the safe operation, limitation, and maintenance of all applicable machinery and equipment in your area.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard electrical maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Participate in maintenance team meetings.
• Conduct electrical repairs and installations.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and installations.
• Operate the Maintenance Request System.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose repair problems.
• Execute safe lock-out procedures during repair or maintenance.
• Handle materials using cranes, slings, and other techniques.

Work Environment

Work in a large, organized, and growing facility where continuous movement of large and heavy steel occurs. The environment is clean, well-lit, and equipped with proper safety equipment and tools. Although the facility can be loud, it is easy to navigate safely. The team consists of 30-40 members, from Welders to General Laborers, and is expanding due to new contracts. Enjoy a bi-weekly rotating shift from 7am-4pm (Days) and 4pm-3am (Afternoons) with a $1.10 shift premium.

The pay range for this position is $80038.40 - $93600.00 / yr.
