Job Title : Business Analyst

Location : Kingston or Toronto (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Duration : 111 Business Days

Responsibilities

• Leading and conducting business analysis at varying levels of detail to assess client’s business problems / opportunities and documenting the assessments.
• Developing strategies, preparing business cases and cost-benefit analyses, and conducting feasibility studies for business and IT initiatives.
• Conducting business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
• Conducting gap analyses of vendor release upgrades to identify changes needed for business processes and best practices, including solutions involving configuration, reports and integration components.
• Monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting regularly to IT management and clients’ decision makers.
• Developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation and conducting follow-up.
• Acting as liaison with business clients and data providers.
• Documenting new requirements and completing analysis and design documentation.
• Applying knowledge of industry-standard project management and development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative).
• Knowledge and experience with OPS Health related projects and related policy / approval processes.
• Experience adopting and adhering to OPS Unified IT Project Methodology, OPS Architecture and Gating processes, and OPS SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with large, complex IT health-related projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven troubleshooting and critical thinking experience with the ability to apply strong listening skills to facilitate issue resolution.
• Effective consulting skills to engage with all stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
• Strong negotiation and facilitation skills, and ability to build rapport with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to compile data from multiple sources and produce clear, concise summaries.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage client needs tactfully and diplomatically.
• Motivated, flexible, detail-oriented and creative team player with perseverance, strong organization and multi-tasking abilities, and a proven track record for meeting deadlines.
• Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to OPS staff.
