We are seeking a Privacy Specialist who will support the Chief Privacy Officer and team in developing and leading Holt Renfrew’s privacy and CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation) program with the goal of ensuring compliance with all applicable Canadian federal and privacy legislation.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional judgment and business acumen, will have, at a minimum, compliance experience with a strong work ethic, be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint), is exceptionally detail oriented and possess exceptional writing skills. Knowledge of Canadian (both provincial and federal) privacy requirements and CASL would be an asset.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Support in the management of the company’s existing privacy, CASL, and risk management and compliance program
- Manage and respond to access to personal information requests (including court orders and subpoena’s) in compliance with federal and provincial privacy laws (including third party and governmental demands)
- Spreadhead the bi-monthly privacy committee meeting and the annual privacy awareness month
- Track, manage, assign (were applicable) and respond to all incoming emails in the privacy office mailbox, ensuring prompt responses
- Manage and update the annual privacy training, including deployment and completion tracking
- Maintenance of data mapping requirements
- Administer the Privacy Office’s monthly reporting duties using excel for Executive Team
- Conduct daily audits (CASL Consents, e-newsletter Opt-Out Links)
- Coordinate and support business areas with the implementation of key action items to ensure compliance with federal and provincial privacy legislation
- Manage and support internal audit function with any open actions items on risk register impacting privacy and CASL compliance
- Assign and track privacy and CASL related complaints, issues, breaches, projects, consultations
- Support CPO and Privacy Manager
- Maintain Privacy Office SharePoint Site
- Conduct data analytics for Privacy Office
