What youwill be doing :

  • Reviewthe daily events / reservations with the CDP or Sous Chef and preparethe necessary food items in accordance with Fairmont standards in atimely and efficient manner
  • Foodpreparation and cooking platingpresentation
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning.Following food safety requirements.
  • Maintainingproper rotation of product in all chillers to minimizespoilage
  • Follow all safety and sanitationpolicies when handling food
  • Ensure that allfood products are handled stored prepared and served safely inaccordance with hotel and Food Safety guidelines. Ensure that allECOSURE standards and processes are completed on a daily basis thisincludes but isnt limited to filling out daily temperature logslabelling and dating of items as well ensuring food storage areasare cleaned daily.
  • Apply 5 Diamond and 5 StarService Standards at alltimes
  • Qualifications :

    Yourexperience and skillsinclude :

  • Creative andpassionate about food and customer service
  • Ableto work in a highpressure environment
  • Knivesskills
  • Ability to do a variety of knives cutsconsistently and precisely
  • Ability to readunderstand and follow recipes within theguidelines
  • Ability to read a prep list anddetermine in what sequence of order job should becomplete
  • Ability to multi task prioritize andmanage time efficiently to ensure jobcomplete
  • Ability to listen follow directionsprecisely to achieve the end result
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills; a teamplayer.
  • Must be Food SafeCertified
  • A neat wellgroomed appearance as perhotel standards
  • Must be available to work avariety of shifts including evenings weekends andholidays
  • Previous experience in a luxury hoteland restaurant environment is an asset
  • Careerminded with strong personal initiative and a desire to achieve thedepartments vision and goal
  • Physically fit tostand for long periods of time and lift 20kg regularly throughout ashift.
