Insurance Audit Analyst

Location : St. Catharine’s, Ontario (hybrid)

The opportunity :

MT Talent is happy to partner with a leading insurance provider to source a dynamic Insurance Audit Analyst for a newly created role as the company continues to grow.

The Audit Analyst is responsible for conducting routine and non-routine audits to assess the quality of the company’s services. They will collect, review and interpret audit data to identify issues and trends in policies and procedures, software efficiencies, the performance of employees, and potential risk exposure which are then used for the Management team to make strategic business decisions and changes.

Here’s what you will do as an Audit Analyst :

  • Conduct routine and non-routine quality audits / reports on Personal Lines Insurance accounts
  • Conduct monthly audits and forward reports / results to all required stakeholders. Audits can include missing coverage audits, underwriting audits, notation tool audits, Broker submission audits, market audits, and others.
  • Update and maintain the Results Calendar and any required SharePoint pages
  • Correspond with the Underwriting team to raise questions or concerns, ex : risk management, policies and procedures inquiries
  • Collaborate with the Underwriting teams to conduct audits of Personal Lines files
  • Correspond with Brokers and Managing Partners to address outstanding documents, address quality concerns, results, etc.
  • Interpret and relay audit results / data to relevant parties making recommendations on how to improve quality
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Assist Director of QA with projects / tasks, as required
  • Here’s what you will need to be successful in this role :

  • Post-secondary education in Insurance, Finance, Business, or other relevant program
  • RIBO License in good standing is required
  • Other designations such as Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) professional designation, Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) professional designation, Customer Service for the Insurance Professional (CSIP) professional designation, Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) professional designation are an asset
  • 2 or more years of experience in Personal Lines Insurance
  • Proven knowledge of insurance operations such as underwriting guidelines, coverage options, and various broker channels
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and industry-specific software. Experience using Power Broker is preferred.
  • Professional and tactful communication skills with an ability to present information and ideas to various levels within an organization
  • Strong knowledge of the Insurance Act, RIBO requirements and guidelines
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a proven ability to analyze information, data and make business suggestions accordingly
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a desire to grow and learn
  • Resilient and positive attitude with an ability to execute quality work in a growing and dynamic workplace
