About the role :

At Compass ELC you will work as a Communications Coordinator alongside some of the most passionate caring and dedicated people in the industry. You will spend your time engaging connecting and learning alongside childcare professionals community partners and co-workers. Collaborate with the Organizational Lead for Communications on a vision / strategy. Collaborate with cross functional admin and program teams to sense and respond to marketing and communication needs you will keep everyone connected within the organization and tell stories beyond the walls of our organization in order to support growth strengthen partnerships and highlight the essential role of early childhood education in our society.

Some accountabilities associated with the role include :

• Oversight and strategy for social media
• Creating content scheduling and reposting others content for social media in consultation with teams and in alignment with our organizational values and values of justice equity diversity and inclusion
• Provide organizational support to draft external communications to families funders partners and community stakeholders (family newsletter media releases funder communications promotional / marketing materials)
• Marketing new spaces programs and employment opportunities asrequired(social media advertising radio etc.)
• Managing marketing and design projects (overseeing the development of reports infographics and new print and marketing materials in alignment with brand guidelines and vision framework) in consultation with colleagues
• Overseeing video creation projects in consultation with teams for marketing and social media
• Basic analytics analysis to guide best practices
• Day-to-Day website management
• Backup support for internal organizational communications to 700 staff and teams (staff newsletters drafting and editing messages to flow relevant information to all internal stakeholders)
• Grant writing in consultation with colleagues
• Supporting lead networks
• Supporting emerging projects (internal and community-based) based on organizational direction and personal passions
