The Senior Structural Engineer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services primarily for heavy industrial projects, largely related to mining, and may support large and small hydropower-related projects. The Senior Structural Engineer participates in a wide range of projects covering concrete foundations and structural steel design. Activities include layout development and structural analysis of industrial structures for both front end planning and the detailed engineering phase for multi-discipline projects. Activities also include client interaction, site investigations and inspections, and rehabilitation designs.
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for preparing engineering calculations, supervising the work of designers and junior engineers, and developing technical specifications, data sheets and reports.
The Senior Structural Engineer reports to the Lead Structural Engineer on a large project and to the Project Manager or Engineering Manager on small to medium sized projects.

Prior experience working on hydropower projects would be considered an asset.
Experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projects.
